There is very compelling evidence this process was neither fair, transparent or in the best interests of all shareholders. Shareholders voted without this evidence which should be disclosed this morning in court. Guessing as to how the judge will rule is anyone's guess and certainly Peterson, Honderich and NordStar are doing everything they can to obfuscate and prevaricate.
One can only hope the judge will see through all of this and do what is right for shareholders, the public markets and Torstar's employees.
I understand why you might be feeling a touch of depression over this investment, regardless of the outcome. It is never going to land on a number that represents the full potential of Torstar. Honderich and his gang of incompetents destroyed billions of shareholder value and were complicit in bungling every single opportunity to do something right. This is unfortunately the capstone to his disastrous leadership.
