usually ... but not in this case. Do you realize the Nasdaq/NYSE/Amex stock exchanges have minimum share price limits before you can trade there, so if you want to have a dual listing (Toronto and there) you need to get the share price to their minimum. The quickest way is to do a reverse split. As well, a higher priced stock (> $5) allows more institutions to be able to buy it as some are ...more

Did Paladin have a US listing.  I don't think so.  Its share price went to well on its way to $200.00.  So fk the Nasdaq.  It will clean us country pumpkins out out first before a takeover.  So once again, fk the Nas.

us country pumpkins ;  No longer have a say in our future. With all the NEW management OPTIONS and the new PP friends ( 109 ml shares ) in August, plus last years PP plus the 5 year wrts. we can only sit back and watch. I can only hope that the people in charge will leave a few  crumbs for the rest of us. Our opinion or vote doesn't matter any more. I've been in for 10 years and ...more

good points blartar here are some more -  everyone is loaded up no need to give out more shares -  well cashed up no need for more pp's -  by going at it alone they told the several interested parties to go f.t. -  or come back with a hostile takeover bid -  a rs will not change the current market cap -  only positive things to come between now and feb 27 -   ...more

In November 2010, January 2012 and September 2014, the company(Green Technology) did a one-for-200 reverse split, a one-for-300 reverse split and another one-for-300 reverse split, respectively. To illustrate the devastating effect of these reverse splits: a shareholder who held 20 million shares of GTSO as of November 1, 2010 would, as of today, own only one whole share. Red.It....As many as 75% of all stocks wind up trading lower after a reverse split. Reverse stock splits are most common for companies in financial distress........Not permitted in some countries.

red it......A stock isnt trading under a dollar unless it is pretty close to bankruptcy or it has some other serious troubles, says Charles Jones, who teaches finance at Columbia Business School. And that is not changed by a reverse split.
