RE:When will management wake up?Agree that the stock buy-back was a waste of money. The money could have been better utilized to pay down debt. I partially agree that caribou should be placed on care and maintenance, but I'm willing to wait for a few quarters to see whether they can increase production enough to justify caribou's existance. I also agree that hedging a portion of production at a decent price would have been wise.
I disagree though that it is time to enter 'survival mode' - although who could have predicted a viral outbreak affecting zinc usage so much? Placing mine and processing plants on care and maintenance are expensive propositions and take time to restart with qualified operators once the price of zinc has recovered.
I'm in support of Ricus's strategy to get a hold on costs and maximize production. It's really the only thing you can do short of selling off assets or closing down.
