RE:Zinc is stable todayI know it's going to sound repetitive considering all the other posts - but i don't think you truly understand just how bad the situation is right now.
When Trevali had Santandar approaching nameplate capacity and Caribou in development, they could survive these low zinc prices, because their costs were (relatively) low. Yes, they were borrowing money to fuel development, and yes, they were losing money every quarter - but that was the expectation. A junior minor with no active mines is obviously going to be losing money, and investors were investing with that in mind - under the expectation that once those mines came online, and timed properly with zinc prices increasing, they'd get paid off.
Today is a very, very different scenario. Today again, they are losing considerable amounts of money, but this time around there isn't the same expectations. What good news are you hoping for? Are you expecting that they're suddenly going to announce that they got their mining costs down to the point where they are profitable at 90-cent zinc prices? Because if you are, you really should take a look at the reports again - nothing in the Q4 report indicated that they are anywhere near that level.
I certainly hope I'm wrong, and that miraculously all the stars will align and we'll all be saved, but right now this is looking very much like a sinking ship.
