RE:Small LME increase today
An increase of 8k is not that small. Today there is an extra 2.2k which brings the total to 260,775.
So far everything is quiet and the market does not consider the above as negative news. My guess is that prices in China are much higher than what we have in LME. As long as Chinese prices stay stable, LME won't see a big drop based on a few extra tons being added.
This could change next week once the results of the communist party congress are made public. Any major changes in direction (or even maintaining the status quo) could greatly impact the metal prices.
