RE:RE:stupid questionYeah, as far as I know, it's the same zinc that goes into tablets/supplements as is used in manufacturing for batteries, as well as for galvanizing steel.

That being said - despite the fact that there is an uptick in interest due to covid, I expect several factors will play into that not being too relevant for pricing.

Firstly, while there are some studies showing some promise, they're still at very early stages - doctors aren't exactly recommending everyone take zinc supplements or anything even close to that.

Secondly, even if they did start taking them more regularly - I expect that the market for zinc in batteries and galvanizing steel is orders of magnitude higher than it would be for supplements. So even though we might get some more demand, the amount is likely insignificant relative to the total consumption.
