You misread my post: zinc prices have already been high for six+ months. Zinc projects around the world are already responding.
@AndreasBehr has posted some information about new production coming online in the next 18 months. You can find news items about existing mines planning to ramp up on Kitco and Mining.Com. In the past year or so I have posted some URLs to several news items.
What we don't know at this time is the relative pace at which demand and supply will increase.
