You're delusional. Sorry to say.

100K shares sold short. Trevali has roughly 100M shares. That's an absolutely miniscule short interest.

Short selling didn't almost bankrupt Trevali. Mismanagement almost bankrupted Trevali.

Exactly. A lot of people seem to not be able to understand how things work.  Shorts are not the ones who decide where a companies shareprice ends up any more than longs do.

What decides the companies shareprice is the companies performance and profits. If a company does well and makes a lot of profits and the shareprice rises because people are willing to pay a higher price for a company that is doing well those who have shorted can lose a lot of money as they often do. A long can only lose what he invests a short can lose an infinite amount so they are taking a lot  more potential risk.

If a company performs poorly such as this one has for many years shorters stand to make money not because they are shorting the stock but because they think that the shareprice will fall as  nobody wants to buy into a dog of a company like this one that has nothing but excuses and poor performance  for many years.

So far the shorters have been proven right despite. If the company starts performing better over the next while with the current higher zinc prices maybe the longs will finally start to do well.

Good luck to all except for those Evil Shorts. lol.
