Glen Abbey LPAT Aug 3, 2021 hearing set. All court proceedings are now concluded. The Glen Abbey development application and other appeals will now proceed to a hearing by the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT), which has now been set to commence on August 3, 2021, for 20 weeks. It is scheduled to proceed as a “hybrid” hearing, which means there will be some in-person attendance at Town Hall (Oakville/Trafalgar Room) by the parties and some videoconferencing, if needed. If the hearing proceeds as a hybrid it will be live streamed for public viewing at Town Hall (room TBD) and available on YouTube. A telephone conference call with the LPAT is set on May 11, 2021, to confirm the hearing venue and format.
Members of the public who wish to provide a written statement to the LPAT may do so on or before Monday, April 26, 2021, by electronically filing their statement with the LPAT case co-ordinator (Jason.C.Kwan@ontario.ca) and the parties. A participant statement is a short written outline of the person’s or group’s background, experience and interest in the matter; a list of the issues which the participant wishes to address and the submission of the participant on those issues; and a list of reports, if any, which the participant wishes to refer to in their statement. A participant cannot present oral submissions at the hearing on the content of their written statement, unless ordered by the LPAT.
