Ontario Municipal Elections Are coming in October.
TWC has come up against obstructionist mayors and councils in every jurisdiction they try to build in. This will likely remain the case after the elections, NIMBY politics being what it is. But on the other hand political winds are changing - see Poilievre's overwhelming victory on the weekend - to favour pro-housing politicians.
Oakville is currently full of Julia Hanna for Mayor signs... who knows what her actions would be on Glen Abbey but at the very least we can hope she beats the incumbent Burton, whose cynical pandering to the "save" Glen Abbey crowd shouldn't be rewarded.
