Brutal cold on the way ?Time for some optimism, folks. I suscribe to Accuweather Professional, and this looks to be the last warm week, for the northern US & Canada, until April. Yes, there might be one or two 2-3 day warmups in that period, but on average, it looks like a complete pettern reversal, with US NG storage a good bet to end below 1500, by early April. Similar winters to this, with a moderate El Nino that peaked in late Dec., are 1957/58, 1965/66, 1977/78. All three had brutal cold from mid-January to late Feb., and all three had Feb.-March into early April below normal temps, on average. My bet is we're back above the all time highs, for PBG, by March 1.
