But You Said ! - Time Lines and Other "Broken(?) Promises"

Lurk & Learns:

RE:"Market Manipulators comes in various shapes and sizes (from stock specific to world market scale)."

Sometimes, posters on a faceless board WILL post ad naseum on a topic knowing full well that timelines in the O & G are "replete with caveats and contingencies"; what gives (see ADVFN this morning)  Could it could be part of "their hidden agenda". i.e. professional shiq distubers?

Now on the other hand, if PB is (since March 31st) in full control of the "dialog", he might want to keep those looking to "do TXP harm", guessing. Parsing being to clue to "panic" in the shorters "boiler room"? Are they feeling a squeeze coming on?

Meaning there could be a significant short that could be looking for clues as to the optimum time to put back on their shirts.... before they lose same.

Just listening to some of my parang favourites, with (maybe) "I Want a Piece of Pork for Christmas!" being one of the best. Now the word "maybe" does not suggest that it is my ABSOLUTE favourite.

However, in this day and age of BB trolls, we might have to use a timeline continum of infinity minus one as a countdown.

Even then some trolls will still "find fault"

Caveat Emptor - It will happen when it happens? Patience is still a virtue!

Cheers
Stanley

Patience is a virtue.  So is operational excellence.  They have the best and most experienced completion team in Trinidad (Schlumberger I think) sitting on the Royston pipe with the best equipment available.  So naturally any delay in results makes one worry a little. What are they finding?  Are they having technical problems? Is the well the problem, not flowing well?  ...more

Everyone seems to be so antsy holding Paul and team to a timeline that was given as a guide not a specific date. The posters over on the LSE board are a little over the top with over thinking. They give a general timeline to the flow test results. One late service or needing a part for a repair would throw the "timeline" out the window. I am thinking the more I read posts on multiple ...more

I get your point and I am not as antsy as some. But good financial reporting is the same at small companies and large companies. And good companies usually have good financial reporting. Timely, predictable, transparent. And good operational performance in the end underlies good financial performance  I think that TXP has accomplished a huge amount with this initial 5 well exploration program ...more

Financial reporting is one thing but operational updates are different. They could wait and release the results of a drilling program at the quarterly updates. Personally I think it would be a novel approach for a junior to do this but i understand that 3 months without news would likely cripple the share price.

You be are forgetting that thy have to report items that would have a material impact on share price . With a small oil company the results of the most important exploration well in history of company meets that requirement. With exxon the results of a single well might not, unless they foind a big new field or something like that.
Comment by Margin321 on Dec 01, 2021 12:16am
For example Exxon released results of Pinktail well on Sept 8 and catabsck well on October 7. Those are single wells in Staebrok field off Guyana that are the 19th and 20th discovery wells in that field and increased reserves there to over 10B barrels of oil. If single wells (that look like Krakken by the way) are material to Exxon, then of course Royston ( and next year Krakken) results are ...more

Fair enough but the constant timeline complaining that some people do makes me think that they are not cut out to own these types of stocks. Information is released in due course. Anyone who has followed TXP knows that everything takes longer in Trinidad.
