Any guesses as to whether this is suggesting a system of partial payouts over a period of time?
Comment by HomeTrader on May 09, 2016 3:01pm
The press release uses the the word "orderly" quite frequently to describe the wind-up process, and the return of capital to shareholders over time, so it seems possible that partial payouts could occur. They state that any return of capital will be overseen by a Committee of the Board. I would assume that the disgruntled group would like to get their capital back as soon as possible ...more

I use TMXpowerstream , but it was also on Yahoo Finance etc.  You're right though, they should post it on the website right away, but they don't.

I found it yesterday morning on my discount broker account under the news heading for TZZ, and it popped up. This company has rarely posted any significant news on this process on their website. Just another example of their poor management, and disregard for shareholders. TZZ should be a case study in Business schools on how not to conduct Corporate Governance.

Note the key words in the headline: Orderly Wind-up of TZZ Soon there won't be any shareholders to be disregarded.

Yes, well I sold off half my holding before this came out at Break Even and looking to get the balance out at a higher break even. At least I got my Interest. These guys are to be avoided hence forth in terms of their client relationships, esp. since the attacking group are clearly more sophisticated with deep pockets unlikley also to re-invest. It will be interesting to see if any dough left to ...more

The group is a US Hedge Fund, so they're not interested in investing with Trez for the long term.  They accumulated a large position well below current levels and then advocated for the wind-up.  They'll likely succeed, then onto the next.  This method is good for a quick buck, but it's not aligned with longterm sharedholders who want access to the very few TSX listed ...more

Basically we agree, more sophisticated, but what trust to give to the Management? They are unlikely to walk away from this business and must be thinking on how to salvage it by switching into another vehicle. Now to ponder the Quarter results. How did you get this info. by the way about the group. I saw various names and tried contacting them but they don't bother responding. You must have a ...more
