Sprott playing for Silver Valley consolidation?

Recently USA sold Eric Sprott 40% equity interest in Galena complex. Sprott is leading $15mm private placement for Bunker Hill mine, to west of Galena. Bunker hill now focusing on silver production drilling out historic high grade silver in mine...12 level 5 ft of 98opt silver and 7 feet 28.4 ft silver for example. Bunker hill need Galena mill to process ore This PP mean Sprott will end up with large equity interest in Bunker Hill mine due to all the free warrents Sprott get for doing financing. New mgmt at Bunker Hill mine are old buddies of Darren from Barrick Gold. Chairman at Bunker Hill is Barrick alumni and former SAS Regimental commander. CEO is former Barrick GM and former manager of Barrick Nevada Cortez mine as well as current Barrick envoy to Tanzania who negotiated the deal between Tanzania and ABX. This CEO is also a Sprott peep who managed Sprott cash cow Jerritt canyon mine that Sprott gushes about weekly on his podcast. In past on podcast Sprott has mentioned he think USA Galena and HL Lucky Friday need to be merged for cost savings...unsuccessful past HL hostile bid for USA was to combine Galena and Lucky Friday so as to cut overhead and AISC at both mines.

Interesting thought. Maybe that is his plan. There is a few famous names invested in USA, I can't imagine they are there for small potatoes. Bigger is better.

i sold my trading postion yesterday at 4.9 which i had been holding since around 2.6.. i will take 90% gain on that (about 13% of my total position in USA). Rest is core and looking to hold that for next 9-12 months or so...  looks like the PM stocks are exhausted and due for a pull back which will be healthy and provide us the next leg up.. same for bullion but right now there is no ...more

Congrats on booking a nice profit cyanide. Given recent action in silver and gold price i am done trying to scalp a short term trade in and out of any of my positions in miners and am only adding using leverage. For example I traded in and out and back in successfully in BVN many times between $6 to$8 but sold at $8 1/4 and had to reestablish position in mid $9s and tripled position in $10s last ...more

@peter i have been trimming my positions here and there but overall I am not sitting on cash. I don't like to leverage so will not go on margin but I am fully invested for now. Recently I trimmed my positions in USA, EDR, AR, GPR and PG. well not recently but in past 2 months gradually. I also sold OR completely.  I bought new positions with the money raised through sales in EXN, ...more

Why are you guys exiting USA at this moment ? It hasn't even taken out the year high and silver is sitting at 28$...Nothing wrong with taking profits but if that's not the reason would love any insights. Personally I have a billion dollar evaluation on this as it stands and looking for 1.5-1.7 billion by end of next year provided they deliver on the silver production forecast for 2021 ...more

I think you just hit the nail on the head... the highlighted portion of your post is the reason people would sell and move on... with gold and silver at multi year highs and USA can't even get to a level it was at 3 years ago..!! While many other PM stocks have performed great.. maybe people are just fed up with the no updates and constant under performance..?
Comment by Moemoney42 on Aug 06, 2020 10:24am
Yup silver up to $28.38 and gold up to $2,075 and USA up a fvcken penny... LOL.. wake up Blassutti its time to get off the pot..!!

PM stocks are not showing good price action for last 2 days. Even though gold is up 50 bucks and silver up 3-4 dollars, most stocks have not budged but actually gone down slightly.  what gives? Topped out for now? Or loads of people taking profits. I don't know but price action overall is concerning given that gold and silver prices are trending higher.

A lot of miners are starting to report. Perhaps their operating  performance isn't keeping pace with the price of the metals ?

I sold my entire position over $5 today and bought in again in the afternoon at $4.67. I have traded this stock a dozen of times over the past few months leading to huge profits (huge for me anyway). Happy to continue trading this one. I have no issue buying at a higher price, even after positive news so it false to claim that people that trade are going to miss the boat. There are different ways ...more
