RE: Burning wood in a clean manner
Hey mnztr, I burn wood to heat my home in a woodstove that has a catylitic unit in it. When I burn properly dried wood in it the efficiancy rating is over 90%. The stove cooks the wood and burns the gasses in the catylinic converter, kind of like creating my own natural gas. The stove is so efficient that I only have to remove the ashes once a month. Of course overall, nothing beats natural gas . As far as windmills are concerned ,the UK this past week issued an alert for possible power shortages as the winds have been very subdued. So the wind turbine blades dont turn so well when the wind does not blow, and solar pannels dont produce much electricity in our long dark nights in the northern hemisphere. But anytime ,turn on the gas valves and fire up the burners and Bobs your uncle. Always there when you need him. Had my breakfast, heading to my woodlot to skid back some big dead pines. Gltal.

Yeah but how many people have as sophisticated a woodstove as you do?
