Totally manipulate... vaccine stall in some countries?..that is not good reason wti went down $5...hopefully wti goes up tomorrow
Comment by ThatAlbertaGuy on Mar 18, 2021 4:50pm
exactly ! Why is this a reason for a 10% drop ? Probably more reason for the headline gaining traction is the contract expiry date tomorrow on oil / shorts on stocks end of week / end of quarter financials for hedge funds (rebalancing) .

2:44 p.m. ET: WTI crude oil prices drop 7% to settle at $60 per barrel U.S. crude oil prices dropped for a fifth straight session on Thursday, giving back recent gains as weak buying of physical oil out of Asia stirred up fears that demand may not come back as quickly as expected. Prices briefly dropped below $60 per barrel, and sank more than 7% for the commodity's biggest drop since ...more

Product stocks in the US are down by over 40 million barrels , with 2-3 million bpd of spare refining capacity it wont take very long to eliminate any surplus crude. This dip will definetly be short term. Meanwhile nat gas in europe is getting very tight. And the outlook for VET is still bright!! Asia is doing extemely well, they don't have a covid problem and are taking care of business not ...more

Based on extensive analysis by my self and after adjusting for the coriolus effect , I have calculated that the April WTI contract will reverse course and start rising at precisely 17:04:43 CST on march 18 2021. Your free subscription period has now expired LOL

I will go way out on a limb here . I am guessing that Nordstream 2 will not be built as long as Biden is president and as long as Putin remains in power (or does Biden like Putin more than he likes Trudeau? )
Comment by Commr51bkd on Mar 19, 2021 8:31am
Oldnagger, as much as I enjoy reading your posts, inthink you are wrong about Nord Stream 2.  Not that it matters as this is more (to Russia) about geopolitics and gaining leverage over Ukraine, Slovakia, abd Poland than it is about bringing a new source of ng supply to points west.  Indeed, the eexisting pipelines through those three countries made redundant by Nord Stream have ample ...more

I certainly appreciate your insights, as I have admitted in another post, I am definetly out of my league when it comes to understanding politics , particularly geopolitics. I do surmise however that Biden will need to put up a good show, especially after the recent slaps at him made by China i am curious howexer about the advantages to Gazprom. Is it due to the elimination of tolls through Ukr ...more

Well this is turning out to be a rough day for me !! It seems my previous calculations concerning the bottom of the WTI market have gone awry . It would be all to easy to blame a coven of hags (or lunatics who have not yet adjusted to daylight savings time ) Rather I will profit from the upcoming weekend to give myself the adequate potents in order to consult with the Oracles ( I hear there is one ...more

I think Nord Steam 2 will be built. To many German companies have invested BILLIONs. Merkel will want board seats at all of them when she retires. Also there is NO WAY Germany is going to allow itself to be beholden to Ukraine. The US really wants the EU to finance its Ukrainian project. Germany will resist. They have already formed foundations to move money from NS2 to contractors, so it will be ...more

Curious what you mean by " short term"?. Be specific how long and why?
Comment by ThatAlbertaGuy on Mar 18, 2021 4:48pm
short as in unspecified length but less time then what we all see in the future for this stock . I don't have a crystal ball but I think we can as a consensus agree that going forward in time this stock will appreciate in value . but if your looking for an exact day to buy and sell can't help ya .
