WTI over $75 and VET still under $11

All this talk of $17M more FCF for every $1 oil price... to pay down debt.... just does not matter, does it?  Maybe the market really looks for Div?

The correlation between VET, WTI and Brent sometimes doesn't exist. Look at it this way. Another observation.  Canadian markets yesterday were closed and VET had a great day down south with the U.S markets opened. Now, Canada is opened and VET is on the verge of being in the red. It's green as i write this but It won't shock me if we end the day in the red. If opec+ settles, we ...more

Yes.  VET had a great day yesterday in the US up 31 US cents to close at US$9.06 but today it's trading down to US$8.81 which is close to being "even" with Wednesday's US close (US$8.75)... AND WTI is up $1.50 from Wed's close?! . Go figure, eh?!   So, in CA or US, WTI does not really matter with VET. . GLTA

Yes... Todays trading action was a complete joke!! Especially, seeing what happened in the U.S yesterday. Nothing else to say. Wouldn't surprise me... In fact, I expect it..... A pull back next week. Monday for sure seems to be the pattern lately. AND.....Let's see what happens with the delayed OPEC+meeting.

No correlation..... Let me qualify this.  Yes, no correlation when WTI is up.  BUT VET is 100% correlated when WTI is down?!  WTF? . GLTA
Comment by stockmarket1 on Jul 02, 2021 4:34pm
Actually, when WTI is down.... you are bang on G. D. Vet is down close to 100& of the time. Much smaller the when wti is up. You're right.

. In addition to finding the "downwards" correlation between VET and WTI when WTI goes down, I also notice that there's strong correlation between Anonymous Net Buy/Sell and VET Up/Down movement. . House Positions for this week.  Anon had a Net Sell of over 400K shares which might explain why VET share price has gone down since last Friday's close of $11.21.  Today' ...more

Yesterday, WTI up, VET down. Today, WTI down, VET down . Haven't we seen this movie many, many times before? . GLTA

Yes, but the days of this BS are numbered. ppl don’t believe the oil story. They all think we’ll be in EVs by next year... but they will soon when oil hits $100 a bbl, and they can no longer ignore it when they’re paying $2 / litre +

. I certainly hope so and look forward to seeing this movie's new chapter! . GLTA

I agree, you don't see a strong argument right now to jump in.  If oil can remain high for the next year or two they will have tons of cash.  That being said, you do want hold this stock, when they do make an announcement to buy back shares or reinstate the dividend, you sure won't get in at this price.
