How bad must it be for China to put out such a report

How bad must it be for China to put out such a report China makes up any number they want. It’s a joke that markets believe them. Lately China has been grossly lying about coronavirus virus number to prop up its stock market and give the impression the commies have everything under control.

So so how bad must it be in China for them to reverse their narrative and report a huge jump with 14.8490 new cases and 242 deaths. I can only imagine what the real numbers are.

This is very deflationary with longer lasting effects than the every-optimistic markets want to admit. Imo oil and copper prices suffer the most.
