Will the final mortality rate stay at the current 11%? No, it will drop significantly. Will it fall below 2%? No way, a 2% mortality rate is a best-case situation. So to compare this virus to the common flu is irresponsible. China isn’t killing its nation’s commerce and quarantining over 760 million people for the fun of it. China knows it has an absolutely horrible pandemic to deal with that is now spreading globally. The deflationary pressures will be huge.
