Oil climbs $2 as U.S. crude stocks plunge on strong exportsAt 425 million barrels the SPR should be able to withstand the 1 million barrel per day release until October 31 with plenty to spare but it will have to be put back.

"U.S. crude stocks 
(USOILC=ECI) fell by 7.1 million barrels in the week to Aug. 12 to 425 million barrels, according to data from the Energy Information Administration, versus analysts' expectations of a 275,000-barrel drop in a Reuters poll."
