They'll never run into moose, deer, raccoons, squirrels, cats, dogs, frogs, turtle crossings, little old ladies with walkers and other parked windmills.

Every time environmentalists want to shut down a fossil fuels project they always invoke some item of flora or fauna as justification for their actions. I say lets be consistent and include birds , bats , wayward  parachuteists and other such species when evaluating so-called green projects !!

On January 17, 2017, the number of bald eagles that can be killed by wind farm permit holders will increase from the current legal number of 1,100 to 4,200. So how many wind farm permit holders are there? When a few ducks land on an oilsands pond its front page news. The greens have no problem with massive destruction to satisfy their ideology. Bunch of hypocrites!

I couldn't resist! It's like smoking when the Government of Ontario banned it they said 45000 people a year died from smoking????? There an article in a journal I saw that said there wasn't one toe tag that said cause of death smoking!!  It's like eating to much you will have health issues more then a person who doesn't eat as much!  Like we all use fossil fuels in ...more

I couldn't resist either. The Ontario government banned smoking in public places not everywhere.  Eating too much may cause your early death but really doesn't affect others where as smoking....? Certainly toe tags never say smoking as the cause of death so smoke 'em if you got 'em. In fact smoke 'em like smoking is a cure for cancer.  Huff on a tail pipe or two ...more
Comment by Canoftuna on Oct 18, 2023 11:07am
Ok, ll bite. Smoking was never banned in Ontario. Were there any toe tags stating cause of death as lung cancer? I'm willing to bet there wasn't a toe tag with the cause of death being "fat". Just an inkling. You must be talking about public spaces. Since your right let's have doctors delivering babies with a smoke in their mouths again. Hop on the ttc and and feel free to ...more

Turns out the number one reason for the death of eagles is vehicular. Eagles eating road kill killed by none other than vehicles. Oddly ironic. No? Google is a wonderful thing. I learned alot today simply by educating myself. Hug a windmill. It is your friend.
