The Big selloff
The Big selloffI have to admit that I happy to see all the Fast money, and greenhorns leaving our stock. I am simply amazed at some people's expectations and the sense of negativity that they bring to these bull boards. I'm sure much of these negative posts are well timed and very subtle bashing. I remember the last time VIT got beat down like this over a period of monthes they beat us down from over $1.00 to the
.60 range and all the naysayers on the board were talking us down when we finally bottomed out and rallied to a $1.50.
Will VIT rally again? I don't know, but let's not forget that it took a 'lightning strike' from 'left field' to stop that rally. It wasn't because of Geology or the drilling results or the grades of any of our projects, it was because of number on a piece of paper used in what is essentially a useless (to me) preliminary resource estimate... Something that you can show the Idiots who can't interpret drilling results on their own. Let's not forget all those oz were inferred anyway!! it was a very very preliminary resource estimate more designed to hasten Newmont's back-in decision than to define the extent of the deposit. I challenge any of you bashers to go back and review the Cove drilling results for the 12 holes that VIT drilled and then comeback and tell me that they won't find at least 500K oz on that property!
Well, like they say "Fear trumps Fundamentals" and here we are getting a whupping, but I will continue to hold my remaining shares of VIT. For the sake of disclosure I admit that I did sell into the aforementioned rally in November but I still hold 87% of my original stake, and I will not sell a single share into this sell off. We will have to reach capitulation at sometime, and from there things can turn around (just like last time!)
One last thing... Drilling at Wendy point... 1 hole complete and 4 more coming... Insiders buying... I wonder if that means anything?
Good Luck to the longs
