According to the 43-101, the planned shutdown is Jan/Feb/March; that is, when the weeks-long bone-deep cold really soaks into the ground.
I think VIT's shipping at least 2k ounces/week (or 2.4k ounces of 83% gold dore/week), and so is at least cash-flow neutral right now. More definitive data would be great.
The current temperatures are very much normal for this time of the year. This is not cold weather, anything below -20C is normal for this time of the year. Nothing to worry about! They are not getting a lot of snow either, which is good as they don't have to spend extra money on snow clearing. Ideal temperatures for open pit operation and ore stacking. The buried drip lines combined with steam heating of solution would work just fine. Keep on pushing ore on the pad and everything should be just fine.
No way they are pushing 2k/oz week. They are still long ways from being cash flow neutral.
