What do I think of the dealIn short I'm in favour of it. CPPIB was a driver here as they have locked themselves in to the transaction. I think they lost confidence in management and saw this as a positive step. I think this gives the new entity room to grow and reduces debt on a boe basis. They can now trade like TOU. TD estimated ARX at 9 50 after a year which used a price of 47 WTI and 2 65 for Nymex so there is lots of upside. Interesting that VIIs chairman is nowhere to be seen. Make up of the board will be interesting as there were a few chair warmers on VII. I'm a hold guy on both fronts.
