WTI

I see an up channel forming on 30min chart, that would put low end of the range at about 60.80 for the NYC trading close today at 12:30 - let's see if it pans out ...

any technicans out there - can you please put your charts to work and let us know what you think on WTI today?

would be much appreciated

question - is WTI likely to close the gap from yesterday or can it move ahead without having to come down to the 59.80-60.20 range?

WTI breakout from this morning's downtrend on 1 min. chart - this reversal fits nicely with the 30 minute uptrend ..  let's see where WTI closes today - I'm betting VII will follow suit .. good luck to all longs

side note - for you non-believers in WTI-VII correlation - I urge you to compare VII and WTI trading this morning - seems to me we're yet again following WTI almost blow by blow - every pivot point on WTI is matched by VII in the early trading today, as far as I can see I'm blaming the algos - I think they pegged VII to WTI and are just running with that, ignoring overall VII fundamentals ...more

lot of selling on VII into the bounce - might be trying to close the gap to 12.45 Friday - let's hope we get that monkey off our back and move up from here, otherwise this is messing with my thesis.. ugh

buying opportunity right here, at 12.53, IMO peers are mixed, I"m guessing some folks are reluctant to trust the Sunday meeting comments, but WTI uptrending nicely today; I'm guessing overall market may be weighing some of the oil stocks down today ...

on WTI, I figure if we close between say 60.80 and say 62.00 as low/high end of the channel, we'd be on track for a reversal and start of a potentially multi-dollar bounce. That should bring VII back to the 12.80 to 13.00 range maybe  even today, and up from there, based on last week's action - just my naive observation, comments welcome
