RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:ThoughtsIt really is a travesty the way the Canadian government has seemingly turned its back on the energy industry. The important revenue that could be generated by O&G investment that can potentially be allocated to future programs (ie.sustainable alternatives) is not really a hard sell to the populace, is it??? Meanwhile, the gateway to an Asian market (China increases LNG imports 50% in November) and the ability to access competitive contracts (Energy East)....the list goes on, has the country years behind on the infrastructure build out. The world wants fossils fuels, for now and the foreseeable future, and Canada will miss out as a viable market participant which is very frustrating and closes many immediate opportunities.
We should make it mandatory that when a project proposal is rejected, a counter proposal should be included in that rejection (like in business) so that the lines of communication and the process towards a viable success is achieved. Just leaving industry in the ground is defeatest and narrow-sighted....frankly I’m dismayed by the non-progressiveness of seemingly such a large proponent of this country.
