Not only can you not travel hassle-free within borders but each & every country has their
own Covid measures/testing protocols. Some countries also have specific vaccine requirements depending on which ones have been banned (AZ, J&J).

Canada advises against international non-essential travel
OTTAWA -- The government now advises against all non-essential international travel in the face of the rapidly spreading Omicron variant of COVID-19.
Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos made the announcement Wednesday, following a Tuesday evening meeting between premiers and the prime minister.
The health minister says the highly transmissible variant is now spreading in Canadian communities, and just about anywhere else in the world.
Ottawa agreed to send shipments of booster doses and rapid tests to provinces and territories to quickly ramp up vaccination campaigns to combat the virus at home.
Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs Dominic LeBlanc urged Canadians to be cautious as they head into the holiday season.

Looks like you were right. It may actually be worse than what you had said as they will announce a ban on non essential travel today because of the risks of getting the sniffles from Omicron. I guess that those that are in Florida or Arizona will once again have to pack their bags early and come back to endure another long winter. Of course we all know it's better from a public health perspective for all of us to be here at -25 while getting the latest Covid "cases" numbers every 5 minutes from our corrupt media and getting depressed than actually living life in warmer climates while getting vitamin D.
