 I wonder if the Chinese or the USA are behind the sudden belligerence of the UAE within the OPEC Alliance. We know that both superpowers want to derail OPEC + and get their hands on cheap oil. @Dogsbreakfast4U: I don't think there's a conspiracy going on. UAE significantly increased it's spare capacity over the years and they want to beging to pump at higher volumes. I think the biggest sticking point for the UAE is that the Saudis have made a proposal to extend the cuts in crude production to the end of 2022 when it was originally suppose to expire in April 2022. Nothing but theatrics so all the representatives from the middle east totatitarian states can hang out in Austria over the weekend. Aramco and UAE probably arranged for everyone to rub shoulders with elites at the F1 qualifiers (Saturday) and race (Sunday) in Spielberg.
