He indicated that he prefers to buy companies with at least 10 years worth of inventory (in some cases as much as 35) while CPG only has about 6 years. That was his only criticism and the only reason why he doesn't own it. GLTA

It has returned free cash flow but he is worried about inventories. It will need better quality inventory and to be active in acquisitions. It is good on all other counts such as management.

IMHO Analysts may buying after their own report. Also short covering may boost the SP after results. One analyst in past said "it is the cheapest stock one can buy", other says inventory low. They are all over the map. Points to consider: 1. With recent sells debt will come under 1.3 ratio 2. it has close to 10 billion dollar worth of tax writeoff on books 3. Low PE ratio - 3.4 verses ...more

Agree Longpants... I thought Nuttal was mistaken with that statement.. Kaybob made a huge addition to drill targets... quality ones I might add..!  Maybe he's looking to add and doesn't want to oversell the stock until he has his position filled..?? ;-)

Agree with both of you guys.  I was surprised when Eric Nuttal made this point of low drilling inventory.  Kaybob property was a big early stage acquisition with tons of development potential.  And didn't they add to to their position in Kaybob a few month ago? Lack of drilling prospects is not CPGs problem now IMO.
