RE: RE: Is The High Dividend Yield Worth It

RE: RE: Is The High Dividend Yield Worth It

Hi Whognu, thank you so much for the insight and analysis.  Unfortunately, I think I bought at some high points and so I am looking to pretty much break even.  I personally really like the company and last year, I wrote them and asked if they could spare some promotional gear and they sent me a huge box of stuff.  That's really cool that they want to show appreciation to shareholders like me, as I wasn't expecting that.  So I am staying with CP out of loyalty, but was thinking of reducing my position slightly (even at a loss) to free up some cash to invest elsewhere.  But knowing my track record, the day after I sell, it will start going up again, so I am hanging tight.  I did buy some more shares last Friday or so when it dropped.

Thankfully the dividend is quite attractive and provides some extra income.  And yes, I do see that it is a love it or hate it stock, based on the comments on this board.

Thanks again for your insight and time.
