RE:Jagmeet His remarks actually really got me angry. I , and probably most of us have been though some super tough times , yet here we are. Just crawling out of the cellar on a 5 year average share price. Big Oil , little oil , medium oil I don't care , these policies tell me this guy doest have any clue what the situation in this industry has been.
The people that stayed invested when everyone else ran , or hid behind the geeen curtain , deserve to make what we a free market allows them to make . Or else you better give me back, and everyone else back, every penny they lost , including the tax you took on my dividends that ended up going under too , you better go back and give every oil company and its shareholders there money back at par for what they paid base cost in any oil company they went broke
I can't believe this is a thing , that this would even be discussed ? This would be the end of investment in Canada
Rather than say we should pay our fair share , Jagmeet or any other politicians, why don't you do a little work , for the industry that provides top tier paying jobs , that above all else the tax , royalties they collect why don't you actually say you know
" our Canadian oil companies are providing us the tax to implement this or that "
Did he even mention what they make the government on these higher prices ?? I didn't see anything mentioned about taking these taxes and giving fuel rebates at the pump or them saying to help you we are going to eliminate what 50 % of the price per litre in the taxes we charge
