Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. VRX, -6.89% said late Monday it entered an agreement that allows it to extend the deadline for filing its annual report. Valeant fell under close scrutiny after the drug maker said in mid-March it still hadn't filed its annual report with the Securities and Exchange Commission, putting it in jeopardy of having creditors calling for an early repayment of debt. In a Monday SEC filing, Valeant said it reached an agreement with creditors to extend the annual report filing deadline to May 31. Among restrictions in the agreement, Valeant's interest rate goes up by 100 basis points until the report is filed. Valeant shares advanced 0.6% to $31.56 after hours.

its seem like MR market and media treat any news as bad news and once market reflect to that those news get repeat like 10x before it being ignore. Its is retarded. Like the new for CEO pearson was not even a bad news its just that the government did not given enough time for him to testify. he just adjourned to other date that provide him enough information for tesify with disclosure.

I thought that was old news that came out Thursday and helped make it pop to 50$....with the prior nr of the reinstatement a which came back clean. It's funny how bad news sends Vrx sp for a downward spiral but if good news clears that bad news then shorts don't care. Let's face it...until the shorts let go they can do what they want. valeant need a good leader that can turn the company inside out, for example john chen for blackberry, etc... valeant has a lot of valuable asset and they need to sell unused asset to cover the debt. Properties that grow overtime due to the housing market will generate growth for the company and pay down the debt. As long as any other company place a bid to buyout valeant regardless if
