A lesson on theftThe old Greek philosopher, Plato, notices in his writings, that to have a successful theft or burglery by a team of thieves, they need to agree that the spoils have to be shared equally, else the operation fails. It is a lesson that the cartel of OPEC'S members do not seem to be aware of. So, as soon as the price of oil was stabilized and even was going higher, one member of the thieves, U
AE, felt more equal than the rest of the pack and started asking for more share of the spoils. The result: they bungled the operation of the oil suplly constrain by the chief architect, S Arabia. So they wanted more share in the Opec's quota system. And after days of impasse, the Saudis gave in and the oil control led to free for all, opening the taps and flooding the market. Now the UAE, will probably regret what they have asked for by selling more oil and the revenues the same as before and even lower at a low and even lower price. And you're talking about folly. As the addage goes: " do you know how to steal, yes; but do you know how ti hide, no. Then do not steal". And we hope the UAE shieks have learned their lesson!
