My REPLY ..........Rant.

I was going to do a separate post but it didn't seem appropriate when my writing today stems from Windgod46 buying shares and taking 6000 shares off the market for time being .   I also also added to his share count although not  as many by taking 4200 shares off the market. Along with CEO GRANT buying 10,000 shares we have collectively reduced the available shares available by 20,000.

So we essentially took nothing off the market in the
big Picture , but what got me thinking is the mention of shorting .  Windgod46 mentions how the shorters are playing with fire when the company has publicly stated they are buying shares back through there NCIB .

So we have all heard of Reddit and how they got the cyber world to buy shares of a compamy all in sync if I have this right , they did this with a few..... but I seem to remember GameStop ?   What they did was teach shorters a lesson by driving the price up forcing them to bail driving the share price up massively . This created a sh"@  show with regulators .

This all came up to me , when Windgod46 mentioned the shorters playing with fire. I would imagine we don't have many shares shorted with WCP , and if I was to guess some energy company's like Baytex , Vermillion , and others that have seen there share price move massively upward are shorted much more .  If I was a shorter I would start there certainly not WCP  .

I feel we are mostly Canadians here on these boards so we don't have the numbers compared to the US .  I just find a certain amount of joy in my stomach when I imagine every single owner and we get our friends , and family to all to buy 1000 shares , or maybe every one buys the equivalent of 5 to 10 percent of there share count in a coordinated effort to get people to stop shorting .  I am against shorting , and the reason why is simple !  It in spirit is hoping for failure  , and from what I see it plays  with people's jobs , lively hoods when large funds do this making it huge news .   They actually end up on BNN being called out for exactly what I am saying  .

I actually like the watch dog side of this , and that they keep company's honest  .   However profiting off of someomes bad choices in a public company isn't hurting the person who did the wrong , it's hurting the guy who punches a clock everyday , who decided to watch BNN and get ritch buy opening up a trading account  .
Don't we have watch dogs , maybe this needs to
be ramped up  .

I don't like the  TRADING INSTRUMENT OF SHORTING  .  It's NEGATIVE and it plays on regular PEOPLE who not only invested in these public company's ,  there are people who work there,  who feed there families.     If you want to gamble and ruin a life, go to the casinos . They are built for you .

I would love to see Whitecap yank 30 Million shares , off the market , and RIP -EM - UP because they can !!!  This  is more than the Pension Fund that had to down size there large , large  holding because of there stake in Torq when we consolidated the companies .
I believe this takes time because they can only buy
so many a day  , but if they did do this  .  Windgod46 , myself , and many more would see the shorters of WHITECAP take a bath .   They would all get a good CLEANSING !!

    That is my RANT
