We finally beat our fellow compadre Crescent Point today.  Things are looking up. I hold both. Hoping for nice numbers tomorrow afternoon at market close.

I think the market is finally starting to shirk the false narrative spun by shorters that WCP was preparing to buy more assets.  In response to the market reaction to the CPG HH deal, market shorters used speculation to attack others in the sector.  WCP was broadsided because of this and the fact they have historically traded similarly to CPG.  Market is coming around to

No argument there.  I'm hoping for a bump as financials should be good, it does worry me a bit as I've seen it too many times, good financial report, share drop.  We shall see, certainly hope I'm wrong. GLTA Tolly

Yeah I agree Tollycraft,  seems its sell the news with Whitecap even when positive reports come out . Maybe this time will be different.

Shorters likely locking in some profit before a report. I guess they figure its been resistant to take more of a pounding , so profit time. Unfortunately these CDN E&P's are very easy to short as there are not a whole bunch of buyers to defend the attacks.   As mentioned they wait and see the reaction and reset their shorts after the report .
