@#$%

OMG, so laggy.

I agree, it is frustrating here.  CPG is now 10% more then WCP.  Definately running away from WCP.
Comment by Littlebabbybum on Mar 13, 2024 12:13pm
It's worse than that.  Compare these 2 over the year.  WCP 22% lagger to CPG. So much for Grants great management.   Why doesn't anyone ever hold him to account?   Compared to CNQ. For 6 years they tracked that stock step by step.  October last year they went opposite directions.  By a whopping 45%.  Compare 5 year.  55% are you honestly happy ...more

This company has been long silent During this poor stock performance.  if I don't hear from management soon, I'll be dumping all my shares    200,000 of them.    If they buy another company, I'll also sell.  I don't think I'm the only one that's getting fed up here.
Comment by baranja on Mar 13, 2024 12:35pm
I will be holding it as I think WCP is safe and solid company, but yes, I am also frustrated.
Comment by traderbri on Mar 13, 2024 2:30pm
Stop doing stock comparisons. I'm sure the WCP boys are watching how their SP is doing lately. Don't expect to hear from management because you're frustrated. Just sell your shares and quit being a "crybaby" Cheers

Yep.  I've been on here 2 days.  A bunch that just want good news and bury thier heads, no real discussion about stock performance (unless it talk about good news).   your all a waste of time.  I thought someone here might convince me not to try.   You just did the opposite.   Many people read these words that aren't members by the way.   Probably come ...more

Your handle is funny as you clearly are not chasing a dividend.  Tell me... what do you call a stock that pays a 100% return every 15 months through monthly dividend payouts?  You arrived at the party late and sound like you are upset the stock is not flying. There's still time to get on the train, although the window is closing.  Look at the chart since August.  It's ...more

100% Return every 15 months.  Lol. That's hilarious, thanks for the laugh.  i think you meant 7% per year .  Dividend would be OK if this could ever hold its value year over year.   This past year.  Down over 6%.   Div 7.5%.  Delta is plus 1.5% gain.   Inflation 3.9% still a loss after the dividend.
Comment by Anschutz on Mar 13, 2024 5:59pm
Are you intentionally trolling?  Look at what WCP and all Canadian E&Ps were trading at in spring 2020 when WTI went negative.   Then calculate what  the return is at today's current monthly dividend.  You could easily have picked up WCP sub $1.00 in 2020.  That's what I did for the bulk of my primary accounts.  I've since been using the dividend ...more

You talk like everybody bought in 2020.  Tell an  investor why should anyone  invest in this thing now based on its stock price history.
Comment by Anschutz on Mar 13, 2024 7:30pm
If after everything I've said, you still can't see the opportunity, you are clearly not cut out to trade energy.  Yes, I bought in early... and I'm still buying.  Your original posts suggested no one was happy or buying this company.  I simply responded by saying there are many here that are quite happy. I have no idea of your trading experience and certainly not my ...more

Sweet man.  Ya we all got lucky with 2020.  We took a chance and got rewarded.  What's holding Wcp back is the gas.  Np just have to wait till the west coast terminal is operational.   I keep wcp for the gas exposure.   Slow and steady.
Comment by DivChase on Mar 13, 2024 8:36pm
Gee thanks master!  Deflect some more.  Any comment why one would invest today in WCP based on the zero SP appreciation over a decade.

Best of luck with your self pity party. Done. Ignore.

I agree with you 100%.  That's why I sold it.   I came to dislike this stock because it's a decade long value trap.  (Just look for yourself you don't have to believe me if you think I'm a paid troll). No one on this forum came to its defence with any real arguments so I dumped it.  I wasted my time on this billboard, you are all just here to sing Kumbaya ...more

I think what he is saying is the dividend is paying his original purchase price every 15 months. If you got in early this is very possible. I am at approx 14 months with 10x capital appreciation, it really depends on when you bought as to how you feel about WCP as an investment.
Comment by Anschutz on Mar 14, 2024 11:54am
Exactly! This company is generating wealth through dividends. Those that got in early are doing great. Those buying in now are getting in at a reasonable price and setting themselves up for monthly return that by all indications is set to pay even more.
Comment by BigJake on Mar 14, 2024 12:19pm
As with any oil&gas producer, if you are buying today you have to believe that WTI will stay at these levels for a couple of years. If that holds true there should be no reason why most of these companies should be a double from here. Just my opinion
Comment by Anschutz on Mar 14, 2024 4:54pm
Or swing trade it between now and summer for a quick 10 to 20% return between now and fall if WTI continues trending higher.  Collect the monthly dividend for added bonus.  Money is there for those wanting it.  I'm buying again tomorrow or Monday when the dividend payout hits my accounts.
Comment by DivChase on Mar 13, 2024 6:09pm
Except for your math on return from dividends in 15 months being 100% I agree with your other analysis.   you say I was late to the party.  I bought this 10 years ago for Over 10$ and oil at 70$.   Oil is almost 80$ today.  this stock can't even crack 10 a decade later. I just got fed up after A DECADE  plus all the BS cronie responses to my valid simple query ...more

My math is solid.  Perhaps my terminology is confusing.  200,000 shares purchased at $1.00 per share = $200,000 Monthly dividend is currently $0.0608 per share (my last post had an error as I was looking at 2024 total to date). $0.0608 x 200,000 = $12,160 per month $12,160 x 17 months = $206,720 The above is an example, as my earlier post was based on average cost and ...more

What does CNQ have to do with WCP ?  What an odd random comparison . They could not be more different companies .  I'm so happy that  WCP did much better than Tesla this last year .  LOL. Ignore button pressed . Silly whinging .

God you sound like you work for the company.    Compared it against all the other stocks ,  You'll see WCP Now has joined the bottom of the barrell  stocks whereas before they tracked with the cream of the crop.  Feel free to keep your head buried in the sand.   I want answers.
Comment by Littlebabbybum on Mar 13, 2024 1:21pm
If you want to bury your head in the sand, Forget comparisons    Let's just look at the stock performance since 2014, December which is when I bought this disaster.   Down 7.8% over 10 years.
Comment by Anschutz on Mar 13, 2024 1:49pm
I'm not complaining, but sure I would like it to run higher... as with any stock I own.  I have been in and out of WCP since about 2017.  In spring 2020 I went all in and have been buying and averaging up ever since.  With the current dividend, I receive my entire principle returned to me every 15 months.  This is a cash machine for some of us.  If unhappy move on ...more
