RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Hold onThey have been having trouble with attack angles at Kienna in the past. As a drill bit passes from one type of rock with a different density at an acute angle, the path of the bit is deflected toward the softer rock, the preferred angle to pass these boundaries is perpendicular. If there are several changes in rock density over short distances.. the hole can be lost to broken drills or deflected away from the target.... the solution is to change the drill location to allow for more perpendicular angle of attack. In this case to extend the ramp in a more favorable location.
