A company should never seek out (and change) to a longer url.
Imagine amazon buying another retail outlet and changing theirs and the acquisition to amazonmainstreet.com?!
Tweed is the best name by far over any LP. The product is in the name for christ sakes. And the word tweed means a natural fabric. So it makes you subconsciously think of naturally made. The name is so friggin great! Don't muck with it!!
I hope they see the error in their ways and change it to tweed.com
