RE:RE:RE:Interesting critique of Bill C45

RE:RE:RE:Interesting critique of Bill C45Some very good points as well putitallinred.  Thinking outside the investment standpoint yes a lot of things are stupid.  The government thinks in terms of public perception.  Doesnt matter if it's right or wrong, it's how it comes off.  They probably put the 30 gram limit to appease some concerned citizens that this isnt a free for all and 'we are handling this situation carefully'.  Remember, polls had this at about roughly 60% approving legalization.  30-40 % do not want this.  So they want to give an appearance of strict regulatiion.

I think the 30 gram limit, while stupid, wont impact too many.  Whats opening a can of worms is the right to grow.  Mainly because of how difficult it is to enforce.  Also, renters are another issue.  I know if i was renting out a house i wouldnt want my tenants growing weed there.

I believe they said way back when there would be no growing but because of the medical side patients were saying they are being denied a right to affordable medicine.  Thats why i think going to med patients only are the ones who can grow would be reasonable.  Yes, we can counter with what about making wine at home?  Which is true, but it may alleviate one of the bigger concerns for the time being.  And get the cops to stop crying.

Speaking of the med side, i am surprised pharmacies have not come up during the talks this week.  Or maybe they have and i missed it.  My cincern here is they would take over for the mail order program.  If pharmacies do not get the chance to participate in this, would that not make this the only medication that cannot be obtained from a pharmacy?

My negative thoughts side here is in the end the lps will have no direct contact with customers med or rec.  Thats what i think will happen but hope i am wrong.

So that leaves the only other way to communicate with customers: advertising.  Which they seem to have a stick up their a@@ over.  I really, really hope they relax on this, as im sure everyone does, but i dont think we are going to win this fight.  Not at first anyway.  Maybe they'll come around but i think that'll be a long ways off.

What i'll be really ticked about is if they dont back down on plain packaging.  This isnt a lock either, some speakers seem reasonable on it, some are not.
