If there's one thing I've learned about him while watching his (excellent) vids, is that he will follow what the signals are telling him. He'll adjust his position and/or strategy to day trading, swing trading, long or short depending on what the market is telling him based on his TA.
Plus, just cause you're a day trader, doesn't mean you can't have long positions in other (or even the same) stocks...
