RE:Sales Could SurpriseClown, for once in your life do so REAL research. Not just the company, but the entire industry is in nothing that could be described as nothing short of a "Race to the Bottom".
Prices are dropping everywhere, margins are already razor thin, and then you've got companies like Tokyo Smoke who think building a pretty store is going to win the day. Ummm, Hell no. It's all about price point, and Tokyo is wayyyy overcharging compared to their competitors. And they're all selling the same stuff, from the same supplier, which by the way is also a competitor to the brick and mortar stores. Nothing like the Government being your supplier AND your competitor.
Ironically, I think it is NOT going to be "biggest and best" that will win the race. It will be small and nimble who will win. Think craft breweries as a good analogy. Canopy in this light, in this environment, looks by all accounts to be a slow moving bloated pig, trying to stand on their "biggest and best" stature, and failing miserably on all fronts. Basically imho, they are being crushed by their own weight, and now risk collapsing, because they just don't have the manouverability to pull it off.
Sell assets for pennies on the dollar? Hope to find/build/distribute products that people actually want to buy, rather than already having the reputation for making substandard weed? Fire management but then don't replace them immediately, in critical areas?
No thanks Canopy. Again, I have my serious doubts that you will survive at all at this point.
