Who who was it that said canopy is years and years away from getting into the US?

The CEO himself said it in a way with the measure he took to try to enter the US. Even then, he also said it would not be before. So it is still years away. Then 2024 is not a sure thing. Then by 2024 the legalisation could have passed.

Why it is so slow? The donation from beer companies and big pharma among other things. .

Now? Let's be honest, it is always a lot longer with all these regulations. Deals take time, it will be interesting to see how much money they will spend to stay afloat for the next 2-3 years without profit.

However, that could take up to 1½ years as investor and regulatory approvals are sought.

But the Acreage acquisition – a key part of the deal – isn’t expected to completely close until late calendar 2023 or early 2024, a Canopy spokesperson told MJBizDaily.
