I find it shocking

I find it shockingthat when I follow the Senate Roll Call that we only got 57 of the 60 required votes to move forward on being able to study marijuana for veterans.

The nea's were so polarized on the issue that I find it impossible to believe that these Senators are representing their electorate at all.

Another thing I noticed is that there was a Democrat that didn't vote on the issue and that Schumer voted NEA unless there are two Schumers that are Senators.

I am not an American but know that as a Canadian a lot of our future success relys on the US being likeminded in their law and policy making and US decriminalization may come before outright legalization but the politics that currently prevails in the US is like a bunch of kindergartners fighting over the one extra candy in the jar.

The Republican Senators aren't representing the will of the majority and Schumer's no vote on this issue has destroyed most of his credibility as the one to bring this home.

The US is going to get there one vote at a time by States that are responsive to what the voters want but in the process will be squandering the Great American Greenrush and the investor excitement that this will bring to the financial picture of the US, and don't forget the tax revenue, jobs and the first step to reigning in the Cartel and Gang problem by the government securing at least one aspect of the Black Market.

The LPs and MSOs see the future in value added skus that are so much more than the smokeable skus that the Black Market are willing to break the law to provide and the infinite promise that the Pharma Treatment and study will bring, if they can get their shyt together to make happen.

I doubt that the US political scene is functioning well enough to get anything done because it is more like the Bickersons than doing any real politics, at least on the Pot issue.

2024 needs be close enough that they have no choice but to put pot legalization on the Ballot to get the disinterested voters that want a full, healthy, safe and legal for adult use pot laws implemented.

And the tax revenue and good paying jobs shouldn't be ignored.

U.S. Senate: U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes 118th Congress - 1st Session

Are Republicans getting fair representation from their Senators???!!!
