RE:If investors are lucky ??

RE:If investors are lucky ??

And who do you speculate would be the purchaser?

It is tough times for all of the pot companies who are getting tarred with the same brush.

Combine that with US politicians who are paralyzed with fear to take on the black market or taking care of their Alcohol guys whom, Ibelieve, make some nice political contributions to their election campaigns.

I follow some of the more popular pot stocks and I noticed that Tilray seems to be in number 1 position in Canada and seem to be going to school on STZ Constellation of late with purchases of US beer companies and Distillers.  Not a bad move considering that alcohol is a going concern without near the policy and law problems that potpreneurs are facing.

Pot products are in transition to acceptance and a clear stumbling block is the regulations that restrict sales and being able to do interstate commerce is a huge issue for growth and expansion.

Tilray's market cap is about $1.4 billion dollars while Canopy has dropped to about $400 million marketcap.

The major shareholder of Canopy shares is STZ Constellation with a marketcap of about $45 billion dollars and over $5 billion invested to be the major shareholder of Canopy.  That doesn't include their US investments into some very interesting companies and their brands and a recent Canadian investment into Indiva to secure Wana brands.

If anybody is positioned to do a takeover of Canopy, I would suggest that STZ Constellation is the most likely as I am sure they are instrumental in a lot of the acquisitions, investment financing to be a leader in the US marketplace.

The US needs to deal with the blackmarket and illegal players because of the increase in mass shootings that resemble a lot of the Cartel activity in Mexico.

While most of the Canadian LPs are getting beat down hard, US MSPs are also getting beat down and sorted out.

Too much supply, too many players and everybody hanging their hopes on the US taking control which will necessitate dealing with the black market hardball players.

This could all be done with the best points of all the legalization bills, consulting with invested lobbyists and maybe a few political contributions to catch the interest of the politicians who are willing to put their name on a new bill that includes Federal decriminalization, banking and brokering tools and Interstate commerce such that pot product can cross State lines.  Throw in a couple of commonsense guidelines that apply to all the players and the US could launch their own greenrush that promises to be the biggest in the world!

Or this can just flop around the way it is without any practical laws to help a fledgling industry and it will eventually draw in the rest of the States to the same arrival point with a mish-mash of local rules and laws.
