There is one topic on stocks that you seldom see covered in articles, or discussed on forums is Short-Covering. Research how a Long Position Differs from a Short, that will set you on the course of understanding more about the various trade options available on the market but it also opens up a new way to look at opportunities when you know there are shorts on a stock that are required to buy.
I posted a link to one article earlier today, so check that post out and read over the article. If you ever researched anything on GameStop you will also see what the potential is there when the correct situation arises on a stock that has a large short position on it.
