Competition is always good, and the fact that the two other largest LPs out there need to merge in order to compete just makes Canopy shine more.

I understand the thought process leading to your view that it would be good for CGC. I'm not convinced. What is does show me is that CGC needs to stay hungry and look for its own mergers. What I found interesting was that Aphria and ACB couldn't agree on Senior Management compensation and that was one reason the merger didn't happen. That reason does not look good on either company ...more

I think that Acreage is more than enough when considering M&A, they're not laying off people throughout their organization to turn around and merge with another company, they have cash on hand, so would be redundant to saddle up with a lesser company now.  I do agree that it's a bad look for Aphria and Aurora not to pull it together over executive payments, sort of speaks to the ...more

I do feel acquiring TerrAscend is a real possibility . After the triggering event we will own 15% of them already .Canopy  currently laid off people due to the Canadian demand. The states market is 10x what it is here . Terr sales are strong and steadily increasing^^^ in states like Pennsylvania, which has a population roughly the size of our largest market Ontario. Agree, I like TerrAscend too, though consider them under the Canopy umbrella already, also Ebbu will be an asset to them long term, While I don't see them merging with anyone, it wouldn't be a surprise if they selectively buy pieces of someone else's crumbling empire :)

My opinion, ACB is going out of the door (matter of time). ACB made the mistake of M&A at very high cost. Canopy also expanded beyond, but we survive. Thx.
