CGC and Indiva

Does CGC buy Indiva and when? They want edible supremacy thus they should be looking at Indiva imo. Acquisitions is the only path I can see these guys being able to take in order to get to their required quarterly sales for profit.... It will be interesting to see what Indiva shows in their next earnings (next months or so).

Indiva only licences the Wana brand name, which is a US based company.   This proposed deal will hurt Indiva as they lose the Wana brand when GCG takes it over when federally prermissable,   That's a big chunk of Indiva's revenue stream

The contract runs until 2025 regardless of ownership. Massive financial implication to CGC if they were to break the contract in place. 2025 is a long time to wait to take control of the WANA brand in Canada. Does Tweed really want Indiva to have the rights to the Wana brand in Canada for the next 3+ years?  In addition they would also get more high quality flower. The kind that you will not ...more

The day after Canopy Growth reported to have entered into an agreement to acquire Wana Brands, , Raymond James Financial (NYSE: RJF) downgraded Indiva to Outperform from Strong Buy and lowered its price target to C$1.25 from C$1.75. We are not surprised by the downgrade and expect other mid-tier Canadian LPs to be impacted by agreements that are similar to the one between Canopy and Wana Brands ...more

LOL - Indiva is trading at .34 right now - so that 12 month price target is 4 fold right now Do some research my friend. I am not trying to bash you, I would prefer you to educate yourself further in the event you are like myself, a retail trader.      Supreme does not grow the best flower in Canada - there was a time (a year ago) when they had the best quality in their ...more

Long winded answer regarding Supreme but to your point,  Supreme only competes with the off brands you listed if they INCREASED their price , quality vs price Supreme wins, check out their genetics.   As far as buying Indiva ,  why buy the milk when you can buy the cow,  Indiva doesn't get them any traction in in the US when legalization (for lack of a better term ...more

So when an acquisition happens is it the purchasing company that sees the larger jump to their share price or the targeted company. Dont think too hard.... For those that do not know the answer: Target company - In this case it would be Indiva not CGC - I chase acquistions and the like and feel good about my choice; you do you.... Oh man you are too funny - I am not someone you want to try and ...more

Well RR ,  you just answered a lot of questions that no one asked , like ,  are you able to be schooled ?   No one asked !   Did you make money ?  No one asked ?   Still not sure why you seem to think CGC wanted to purchase Indiva ?  Canopy's goal was to purchase high end cannabis. At scale ,  that's where the Supreme acquisition came in,  the ...more

Well something we may agree on is CGC has HEXO beat on the FOMO scale hands down. Tilray not so much. I think FIRE was a supreme acquisition for CGC btw - stupid for Supreme exccellent move for CGC. You talk like Supreme will be what makes CGC viable in Canada - That is BS - They do not have the production capacity for it nor have the shown the ability to grow at full capacity while maintaining ...more
