It's in support of the Canopy USA move being voted on this month.  The topic was covered during an interview the CEO did on The Dales Report Channel (YouTube). 

I will admit, the topic and how they are getting things coordinated for the US isn't necessarily the most obvious to understand at first glance but the company is doing what it can to get the job done while staying in compliance with current rules in place for Cannabis Companies.

I would suggest watching the interview with the CEO to get the details.  Anyone trying to explain it on a forum will likely miss key points or not explain it so well. 

Overall (based on my own understanding) it seems like a decent plan / approach and I will be monitoring TDR to see if more interviews are made available with further clarifications.

Don't forget, you can always go to the Canopy Growth webpage and email their Investor Relations folks to get details on specific questions addressed.

Agreed quin, but many moving parts and new coming all the time it seems...they need Trump, or someone to replace him of the ability to do the job? Orban/ Hungry etal are ready to deal with Trump and Biden is only going to stay the course if allowed to continue? If Biden were to remain, cannabis will be Gov/ cartel controlled as per today and continue to deteriorate from there. Canopy USA

Opt, Federal Legalization of cannabis in the US makes so much sense and will address so many of the economic challenges of the US that it's insane.  Folks think MJ is about hippies smoking a joint on the beach while in fact it's a massive medical market, recreational market but hemp can be used to produce everything from clothing to car parts (fiberglass replacement).

Why wouldn't someone choose to switch to exchangeable shares?  It seems like hedging your bet. and, how do you covert to exchangeable shares that you hold in your TD accounts? This is a first for me!!

You do not overstate. legal cannabis is the same as legal alcohol is/ was the answer during the prohabition there. This is a no-brainer, when Can legalized the results would have been the same as the US if the Provinces had the autonomy of States in the US? Government was going to control if they had secured the power to do so, of which could be changing much and fast depending on who takes the

Sorry OptGreen selling out America for some chingching is not an option.  Trump is NOT fit mentally or morally.  All Americans should be appalled at his fascination and love for dictators.  The few Republicans that are of sound mind  have their mouths taped (by Magas) at this time.
