It is totally irrelevant what anyone else trades.  People buy and sell for all sorts of reasons.  What I personally do may not be relevant to anyone else.

Some sell because they need the cash for something personal or they sell to realign their portfolio.  Some sell because they are forced to because of a divorce.

Some buy because they are young and plan to hold for the long term.  Some buy because they speculate on the short term.  Some buy because they work in a company and they have inside information.

Institutions buy and sell for investors in their mutual funds.

Some buy based on fundementals.  Some buy based on technicals.

Some buy based on macro events.

Some buy because the shoe shine boy gave them a tip.

Some sell because they thought the sky was falling in as we saw yesterday.

Everyone has a different persepective and time horizon.

What anyone person does is of little relevance to others.
