Talk about dangerous advice.

The whole market is down. This sucks. We get pulled into it even though patient levels aren't cyclical.

What you are describing is not shorting.. it's called swing trading. Obviously you don't know anything so not worth continuing this conversation.
Comment by Luc1979 on Mar 10, 2023 10:56am
Depend how you sell the share, its called shorting when its a huge amount and it drops and other follow its called creating panic selling also can always divide the sell by chunk to drop it 15 cents and rebuy its called shorting the stock price, if you check the buy and sell it is clear as day
Comment by Capharnaum on Mar 10, 2023 11:49am
So, basically, you're a trader?
Comment by Noshortsallowed on Mar 10, 2023 12:18pm
No actually shorting is when you borrrow a share from a broker who sells it on the market and then you need to buy it back at some point and you pay a borrowing fee until it is bought back (covered). What you described is not at all shorting but is called swing trading. Not sure you should be giving advice when you don't even understand the terms you are using.
